Expression of Interest for EOI/NGP/045 Reinforcing Steel for the Nyanzaga Gold Project

Sotta Mining Corporation Limited (Sotta) is a Tanzanian incorporated joint venture company, 84% owned by Perseus Mining Limited (Perseus) and 16% by the Government of Tanzania. Sotta is developing the Nyanzaga Gold Project (Nyanzaga or Project), located within the southern area of the Lake Victoria Gold Fields, north-western Tanzania. The Nyanzaga Project is situated in the Sengerema District within the Mwanza Region of Tanzania, approximately 60 km southwest of Mwanza.

Sotta is in the process of developing the Project, which includes the design and build of a gold processing plant, open-pit mine, and associated infrastructure.

Sotta is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) for the following upcoming scope of work for the Nyanzaga Gold Project:

Sotta invites companies interested and qualified in delivering this scope of work to submit an Expression of Interest, which must address the following compliance criteria:

Expression of Interest Compliance Criteria:

1. Company Information:
   • Detailed company information, including ownership (provide shareholder % of ownership), organizational structure, and details of any Tanzanian operating entity, including evidence of local content compliance with the Tanzania Mining Commission or verification of eligibility to apply.

1. Local Content Compliance:
   • Confirmation of the entity’s ability and commitment to establish an entity that is local content compliant in accordance with the Tanzanian Mining Act, and particularly the Mining (Local Content) Regulations 2018 and any subsequent amendments.

1. Experience and References:
   • Details of current packages in process, as well as evidence of successful delivery of similar scope of work to the mining industry over the last 10 years, with the following details:
     • Name of the project and client.
     • Brief scope of work.
     • Value of scope of work (indicate the applicable currency).
     • Delivery or installation date of the scope of work.
     • Contact details of a minimum of three (3) references for each project.

1. OEM Information (if applicable):
   • If applicable, details of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) the company will engage with for delivery of the scope of work, including:
     • Name of the OEM.
     • Contact details of the company’s liaison officer at the OEM, or the OEM’s representative covering the Tanzanian market.

1. Quality Management:
   • A copy of the company’s sample Quality Management Plan, including a copy of a valid ISO9001:2015 accreditation.

1. Financial Capacity:
   • A copy of audited financial reports to verify the company’s financial capacity to deliver the scope of work.

1. Technical Ability:
   • Ability to supply reinforcing bar compliant to AS/NZS 4671 (or warranted as an equivalent standard by the manufacturer). The company must provide a minimum of three (3) examples of material certificates for rebar supplied to a project in the last 12 months. 
     • Ability to supply greater than 500t of reinforcing bar and greater than 100t mesh per calendar month.
     • Ability to supply a minimum of SL81, SL82 Mesh, 8mm / 10mm / 12mm / 16mm / 20mm / 24mm / 28mm / 32mm / 36mm / 40mm rebar. The company shall confirm what other stock sizes of mesh & bar they have available.

1. Submissions must have the subject heading: EOI/NGP/045.

1. Submissions must include a response to all the items listed in the above Expression of Interest Criteria on no more than one A4 sheet with the supporting documents attached.

1. Expression of Interest applications close on Friday, 17th January 2025. Expression of Interest submitted after this date will not be considered.

1. Evaluation of the Expression of Interest will be based on the information submitted to the Expression of Interest Compliance Criteria.
