Expression of Interest for EOI/NGP/049 Slurry Pumps for the Nyanzaga Gold Project

Sotta Mining Corporation Limited (Sotta) is a Tanzanian incorporated joint venture company 84% owned by Perseus Mining Limited (Perseus) and 16% by the Government of Tanzania. Sotta is developing the Nyanzaga Gold Project (Nyanzaga or Project) located within the southern area of the Lake Victoria Gold Fields, north-western Tanzania. The Nyanzaga Project is situated in the Sengerema District within the Mwanza Region of Tanzania, approximately 60 km southwest of Mwanza.

Sotta is in the process of developing the Project, which includes the design and build of a gold processing plant, open-pit mine, and associated infrastructure.

Sotta is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) for the following upcoming scope of work for the Nyanzaga Gold Project:

Sotta invites companies interested and qualified in delivering this scope of work to submit an Expression of Interest, which must address the following compliance criteria:

Expression of Interest Compliance Criteria:

1. Company Information:
   • Detailed company information including ownership (provide shareholder % of ownership), organisational structure, and details of any Tanzanian operating entity including evidence of local content compliance with the Tanzania Mining Commission or verification of eligibility to apply.
   •  
2. Local Content Compliance:
   • Confirmation of the entity’s ability and commitment to establish an entity which is local content compliant in accordance with the Tanzanian Mining Act, and particularly the Mining (Local Content) Regulations 2018 and any subsequent amendments.
   •  
3. Experience and References:
   • Details of current packages in process as well as evidence of successful delivery of similar scope of work to the mining industry over the last 10 years with the following details provided:
   •  
     • Name of the project and client.
     •  
     • Brief scope of work.
     •  
     • Value of scope of work (indicate the applicable currency).
     •  
     • Delivery or installation date of the scope of work.
     •  
     • Contact details of a minimum of three (3) references for each project.
     •  
4. OEM Information (if applicable):
   • If applicable, details of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) the company will engage with for delivery of the scope of work, including: 
     • Name of the OEM.
     •  
     • Contact details of the company’s liaison officer at the OEM, or the OEM’s representative covering the Tanzanian market.
     •  
5. Quality Management Plan:
   • A copy of the company’s sample Quality Management Plan, including a copy of a valid ISO9001:2015 accreditation.
   •  
6. Financial Capacity:
   • A copy of audited financial reports to verify the company’s financial capacity to deliver the scope of work.
   •  
7. Technical Ability:
   • Ability to deliver a slurry pumps package of approximately 14 pumps, with the largest being mill circuit specification 500 x 450mm pump size c/w 850kW direct coupled Low Speed Synchronous motor handling mill discharge slurry. Other pumps are up to 350 x 300mm in size and up to 250kW motors connected by vee-belt pulley drives.

8. Hydraulic Modelling:
   • Ability to execute and provide calculations for 3rd party review for hydraulic modelling of pumping systems.
   •  
9. Wear Lining Systems:
   • Ability to supply appropriate wear lining systems for the specified slurry characteristics (particle size, solids SG, hardness, particle shape, slurry density, etc).
   •  
10. Design and Reliability:
    • Be of a proven, mine specification heavy-duty design thus providing long life and reliable operation.

9. Evaluation of the Expression of Interest will be based on the information submitted to the Expression of Interest Compliance Criteria.
